— What we cover

Furnaces, heat pumps, electric heat — all of it.

Texas winters are unpredictable. We service what's keeping you warm — gas, electric, or heat pump — and we're honest about what's worth fixing and what's worth replacing.

01
Diagnostic visits

Plain-language read on what's failing and what the fix costs — before we start work.

02
Gas furnaces

Ignitors, flame sensors, blowers, control boards, gas valves. We service Carrier, Trane, Goodman, Comfortmaker — and most other major brands.

03
Heat pumps

Defrost cycle issues, reversing valves, refrigerant — the heat pump fundamentals that go wrong in Texas freezing rain.

04
Electric heat strips

Auxiliary and emergency heat for heat-pump systems. We diagnose and replace — and check that your system is sized right for it.

05
Full-system replacement

When the furnace is past its life, we sit down with sized options and clear pricing. No high-pressure replacement push.

06
Thermostats & controls

Smart thermostats, zoned controls, and the wiring problems that make a perfectly fine furnace look broken.

— When to call

Six signs the heat needs a real look.

Cold air from the vents

If the system runs but the air's cool, it's usually ignitor, flame sensor, or limit switch. Don't keep cycling it.

Won't ignite

Click-click-then-nothing is almost always an ignitor or sensor. Easy fix when caught early — and we keep both on the truck.

Short cycling

On for two minutes, off, on again. Often dirty filters, oversized equipment, or limit-switch issues. Wears parts fast.

Climbing winter bill

An unexpected jump usually means the heat pump is running on emergency strips longer than it should. Worth a look.

Strange sounds

Booms on startup, screeches, or rumbles each point somewhere — and waiting through a Texas freeze rarely helps.

Cold rooms, hot rooms

Uneven heat usually points to ductwork, balancing, or zoning — not the furnace itself. We diagnose the whole system.

— The Alpine process

Three steps. No surprises.

We don't quote sight-unseen and we don't add charges after the fact. The process is the same on a $200 capacitor and a $14,000 system replacement.

01
Diagnose

We arrive in the window, run the diagnostic, and explain what we're seeing in plain language. Always.

02
Quote

Fixed price, in writing, with the parts and labor itemized. You decide. We don't pressure.

03
Fix

Done right the first time. We test it with you, leave the house tidier than we found it, and stand behind the work.

— Where we work

Heating service across Grayson + Collin.

We cover Anna, Melissa, McKinney, Frisco, Prosper, and Celina — same crew, same Sherman number, since 1999. If your city isn't listed, give us a call — we cover most of North Texas.

— Heating, FAQ

The heating questions we get most.

It's freezing — how fast can you come out?

Cold-snap calls are our priority — Sherman and immediate Grayson typically same-day, Collin County same-day or next-morning depending on call time. We don't shut down for weather; that's when our customers need us most.

Do you charge for diagnostics?

Yes — flat trip + diagnostic fee disclosed before dispatch, applied toward the repair if you proceed. No surprises after the truck arrives.

When does it make sense to replace the furnace?

Furnaces typically run 15–20 years; heat pumps around 12–15. A major component failure on equipment over that age is usually a replacement conversation — we'll show both numbers and let you decide.

Do you do gas, electric, and heat pump?

Yes — all three. Many North Texas homes are heat-pump primary with electric strip backup; some are full gas. We work on whatever's keeping you warm.

Financing on a new system?

Yes. We'll walk through the options at quote time. Reasonable terms, no pressure tactics.

We'll get back same-day with a window and an honest first read on what we're hearing.
